Creation Process

My goal, when creating art, is to display the serenity of Asian statues in a contemporary way. The fine art pieces are perfect for practitioners of eastern religions, those that practice meditation or yoga, or anyone looking for art pieces that bring serenity and beauty to a modern interior design.

Shots of Asian statues are taken with a Canon EOS digital camera.

The original photos are digitally altered into a number of different versions with varying exposures, colors, effects, and crops using a wide variety of photo editing software.

The best of these edits are selected and combined with lines, natural elements, and additional photos to add interest and pattern.

Details on Printing and Mounting:

The mixed media art is printed on canvas once and is signed and numbered one of one (1/1) on the back. The original art piece is printed on high quality canvas.

  • On the Buddha Series 1, an archival, glossy print is made on Kodak Endura silver based paper. The emulsion is heated and pressure bonded to museum quality canvas and stretched and mounted on a wooden artist frame. The sides of the canvas are hand painted black with acid free paint. They are approximately 3/4 inches thick.
  • All other series originals are printed using the giclĂ©e process and are gallery wrapped with a thickness of 1 1/4 inches.
